Cabaye Set For French Action

17 March 2016

Yohan Cabaye has been named in France's squad for their friendlies with the Netherlands and Russia.

The Euro 2016 hosts will step up their preparation for the summer tournament by taking on the Dutch - who didn't make the finals - in Amsterdam on Friday 25th March.

Four days later they then host Russia at the Stade de France, with Cabaye hoping to impress and secure a spot in their final 23 man squad for the championships, where they have been named in a group with Romania, Albania and Switzerland.

Cabaye had previously won 44 caps for Les Bleus, scoring four times, and featured at Euro 2012 as well as the 2014 World Cup.

Didier Deschamps has also named Leicester City's N'Golo Kante in the squad who could win his first cap, and West Ham United's Dimitri Payet has also returned to the international fold.
