Crystal Palace Football Club once again attended the Barclays Premier League Live event last weekend in Cape Town as over 30,000 enjoyed the two day spectacular at Camps Bay High School in Cape Town.
Club Ambassador, Mark Bright and members of the CPFC Foundation coaching staff, headed up by Director of Sports Development, Gary Mulcahey teamed up with Active Communities Network South Africa to organise and deliver community sports initiatives including hosting two boys and two girls’ under 11's and under 13's community football tournaments in Heideveld and Hout Bay.
The team then moved onto the two-day Barclays Premier League Live fans event over the weekend as Premier League legends joined a host of clubs for BPL Live 2016. Many fans attended the Crystal Palace Activation Area with all ages taking part in football games, taking the opportunity to chat Palace with Mark Bright and show their skills using our very own Fan App as they competed against those being shown on the big screen from Yannick Bolasie, Yohan Cabaye and Wilfried Zaha.
Crystal Palace FC Chief Executive, Phil Alexander, was delighted with another successful participation at this annual event.
“Following from the success of the event in Mumbai last year it was great to be part of BPL Live 2016 and the interest shown is another great example of the worldwide reach of the Barclays Premier League that we are all delighted to be part of."
