Mariappa Gets Jamaica Call-Up

21 March 2016

Crystal Palace defender Adrian Mariappa has been called up to Jamaica's squad for their World Cup qualifiers against Costa Rica.

The Eagles man has joined up with the Reggae Boyz as they aim to rectify their poor start to the campaign so far which saw them lose to Panama in their opening game.

A win was then claimed against Haiti but now with a double-header coming up against the group leaders, Mariappa will be hoping that his side can stay in touch and finish in one of the top two places to reach the next phase.

The first game will be held on Friday in Kingston, before the two sides go at it again in San Jose four days later.

Mariappa has won 35 caps for his country, 23 of which have been won during his time in SE25.
