This week the club held its annual Crystal Palace Academy Golf Day at Sweetwoods Park Golf Club, owned by Palace co-owner Martin Long.
Club sponsors and corporate clients were joined by Keith Millen and members of the management team, as well as Palace legends Andrew Johnson, Shaun Derry, Eddie McGoldrick, John Salako, Jim Cannon and Ian Evans.
The 27 hole golf competition was followed by an evening of fundraising with a dinner including a prize giving ceremony, and a fantastic cabaret act by Keith Charnley. All proceeds from the fundraising will go to the CPFC Youth Academy.
A considerable sum was raised during the evening and the club would like to thank Ryan Summers from Arete Designs for his support and generosity in sponsoring the event, and Ian Wilkinson and all at Lynx Golf for sponsoring a magnificent prize table for the evening.
Summers donated an incredible array of auction items that really enhanced the evening’s fundraising, and Head of Commercial at Palace Chris Powlson said: “The day was a huge success at a superb venue, and I would like to thank all the sponsors involved for their wonderful support of the club for this event.
“I would also like to thank Martin Long and his staff at Sweetwoods Park for their invaluable input in to this golf day, the quality and condition of the course was exceptional and the service from all the staff on the day was first class."
The club would like to thank all those who entered teams and participated at the event, and offer our congratulations to the winners on the day.
