Eagles winger Sullay Kaikai has returned to Crystal Palace following his loan spell at Shrewsbury Town.
The 20-year-old played a key role in helping the Shrews maintain their League One status this season, scoring 12 goals in 29 appearances to finish as their top goalscorer this term, and with their place in the third tier secure Palace have opted to recall the youngster.
Kaikai quickly became a fan favourite at the Greenhous Meadow this season over his two loan spells, winning the PFA Fans' Player of the Month for November and the Golden Boot at the Shrews' end of year awards before returning to SE25.
Salop boss Micky Mellon was full of praise for the Palace loanee's efforts this season, saying: "In terms of what he’s brought to the team he’s been nothing short of fantastic with the goals that he’s got and his work rate.
“We have to say a big thank you to Crystal Palace because he has played a big part in our League One survival. I’m pleased that he will now return to Palace and may get the opportunity to be involved in their last few Premier League games.
“His goals have been invaluable but he’s also a great kid and was great to have in and around the place.
“We will now look forward to seeing his progress in the future because he is a lad of great promise.”
