McArthur Recalled To Scotland Squad

12 May 2016

James McArthur has been named in Scotland's squad for their upcoming international friendlies with Italy and France.

The Eagles midfielder has missed his country's previous matches through injury but will be in line to play his first games for the Tartan Army since October as Gordon Strachan's men face two tough opponents.

First up for Scotland is a trip to Malta on Sunday 29th May to play the Azzurri who are warming up for Euro 2016, and then six days later they face the tournament's hosts in Metz, meaning McArthur could go up against his clubmate Yohan Cabaye.

McArthur has already won 22 caps for the Scots and has scored twice in that time.
