The final Business Club lunch of 2016 took place at Selhurst Park on Thursday 24th November, with guest speaker and Palace Legend, Mark Bright giving a key note address to the assembled business audience.
During his talk, Mark spoke about his role as Director of Under 21 Development at Palace, and gave insight into the business of football at youth and academy level, as well as the challenges that are faced in academy contracts, player loans, working with other clubs and the role of agents. Close to 100 guests from businesses from around the region enjoyed superb food & wine, as well as the excellent networking opportunities provided in the club’s Stephenson Lounge.
The event, kindly sponsored by Pyranet UK, brought together key businesses and decision makers at director level, eager to create new contacts and share connections. Guests also enjoyed a live hacking demonstration at the start of the event by Joe Burns (Technical Director of Pyranet UK), which highlighted the need for cyber security in today's world. The event also delivered a selection of novel vodka tasters, provided by club partner, New Amsterdam vodka, as well as the highly acclaimed Eagle Red and Eagle Chardonnay being enjoyed with guests’ meals.
