Dann: Difficult To Put Into Words.

26 November 2016

Captain Scott Dann struggled to put into words how he felt following the defeat at Swansea City and says that the talking needs to turn into putting it in practice on the pitch.

"I cannot really put into words how the dressing room is feeling at the moment, it’s a difficult one to take and not sure really I can say.

"You would like to think when you go 3-1 down, you fight your way back into the game like we did and you should then go on and see the game out. W obviously didn’t do that and it was a crazy game which produced a result that was difficult to take."

After conceding just before half-time the side suffered the loss of striker Connor Wickham before going 3-1 behind but great character was shown to once again gain the advantage. Dann revealed his frustration that once again the side couldn't see the job through until the end of the game.

"That’s what we want to do but we have been saying that for a number of weeks now, it’s important that we do see these situations out and take the points, once again today we have managed to give them away. It wasn’t as though they were great goals, they came from set pieces again and we’ve discussed this over the last couple of weeks and we don’t learn our lesson. The sooner we do that the better.

"If there are any positives we still showed the fight but we have got to show that every game and also show that we can see games out when we get ahead as a team. When we do that I am sure we will start picking up points but we can’t go on like today obviously. It was a crazy game and one that I struggle to put into words."
