Alan Pardew has confirmed that Steve Mandanda sustained a knee injury on international duty with France and will miss the Premier League home game against Manchester City.
"Steve Mandanda has got a knee injury which will keep him out from the game on Saturday, so Wayne [Hennessey] will play," he said.
"We don't think it's too bad, but we're not exactly sure yet. We think only a couple of weeks.
"Joe Ledley we're sweating on, in terms of whether he'll be available. Everybody else from Burnley is fit."
Aside from that, the manager was pleased with the condition the other international returned to training in.
"The all came back in good shape, in good mental shape, because some times you can get damaged on these trips. They all had decent results," he said.
"Andros obviously got a bit of a game and was very pleased to have that. Chungy got a little knock, but we think he'll be fine."
