Team News: Hennessey Back In Goal

19 November 2016

Wayne Hennessey returns in goal for Crystal Palace this afternoon as they host Manchester City at Selhurst Park.

The Welshman will start between the sticks for what will be his 50th appearance for the club after Steve Mandanda picked up a knee injury on international duty, and is one of two changes to the Eagles side that lost in dramatic fashion to Burnley a fortnight ago, with James Tomkins preferred at the heart of defence to Damien Delaney.

Pep Guardiola makes his first visit to Selhurst today and has made six changes to his line-up from their 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough last time out, with the headline change being Yaya Toure coming in for his first Premier League outing of the season.

Skipper Vincent Kompany also returns, an there are also starts for Nicolas Otamendi, Bakary Sagna, Nolito and Raheem Sterling, with the likes of Jesus Navas and David Silva dropping to the bench, and the in-form Ilkay Gundogan and John Stones missing out all together.

Palace: Hennessey, Ward, Dann, Tomkins, Kelly, McArthur, Cabaye, Zaha, Puncheon, Townsend, C. Benteke. Subs: Speroni, Delaney, Flamini, Mutch, Lee, Sako, Wickham.

Manchester City: Bravo, Sagna, Kompany, Otamendi, Kolarov, Fernandinho, Toure, Sterling, De Bruyne, Nolito, Aguero. Subs: Caballero, Zabaleta, Fernando, Navas, Sane, Silva, Iheanacho.
