Crystal Palace captain Scott Dann returns to the side today for the visit of Liverpool as one of two changes to Alan Pardew’s line-up from last weekend’s 3-1 loss to Leicester City.
The skipper, who has been out of action for the past four games, replaces Damien Delaney at the heart of defence, whilst in midfield Chung-yong Lee comes in for Andros Townsend who drops to the bench.
Wilfried Zaha starts in what is his 200th league appearance for the Eagles, and Christian Benteke faces his former club for the first time since his summer move from Anfield. Meanwhile Jason Puncheon returns to the bench after missing the Leicester game with a calf problem.
Having swapped out his entire team for Liverpool’s 2-1EFL Cup win against Tottenham on Tuesday, Jurgen Klopp restores virtually the same XI that beat West Bromwich Albion in their last league encounter.
The only change to that team is Alberto Moreno replacing James Milner at left-back, as the England international has been struggling this week with illness.
Tuesday’s two goal hero Daniel Sturridge is on the bench, with the England man having scored every time he has faced Palace.
