The management and players at the Beckenham Training Ground were delighted to welcome pupils of The Bensham Manor School for a tour of the training ground and to watch the squad train ahead of the match at Leicester City this weekend.
Bensham Manor were selected from a number of schools throughout the borough that get the chance to enjoy this exclusive visit on a couple of occasions the season.
The trip, organised by the Crystal Palace Supporters Children’s Charity, saw the youngsters, with varying disabilities, shown behind the scenes as they visited the boot room, changing room, watched training, met the management & players and then enjoyed a packed lunch specially prepared by the club chef at the training ground.
Paul Stevens from CPSCC said “It was an amazing experience for the children especially the opportunity to have photos taken with the players, loads of autographs and then a kick around before lunch. They loved the goodie bags, prepared by Club Secretary, Chris Dowdeswell, which finished off a memorable day. It makes you super proud to be a Palace fan”
The club hope the children and staff enjoyed their visit and it was great to see you all at Beckenham Training Ground.
