Loan Round-Up: Anderson's Debut Delight

5 September 2016

Keshi Anderson marked his Bolton Wanderers debut with a goal as he helped to preserve their unbeaten start to the season after they drew 1-1 with Southend United on Saturday.

The Eagles striker moved to the Macron Stadium on deadline day last week and managed to scramble home the equaliser on 48 minutes after he put the Shrimpers keeper Ted Smith under pressure, to register his first goal back in League One after missing nine months of last season through injury.

Ryan Inniss meanwhile wasn’t considered for the selection by Southend as he continues to step up his fitness after his own lay-off.

Elsewhere in League One, Freddie Ladapo almost managed to replicate Anderson’s feat but he smacked a shot against the crossbar as his Oldham Athletic side were beaten 3-2 at home by Shrewsbury Town.

The Latics had taken the lead before the visitors netted three times without response, however after Lee Erwin pulled one back to make it 3-2, Ladapo nearly completed the comeback by was denied by the woodwork.

In League Two, Luke Croll made his debut for Exeter City as they won 3-2 against Colchester United, with the Palace defender playing 76 minutes of the game at the Colchester Community Stadium to end the hosts’ unbeaten home record and record only the Grecian’s second win of the campaign.
