Crystal Palace Football Club can confirm that Loic Remy has returned to Chelsea Football Club, after sustaining an injury during a training session earlier this week.
The injury is expected to keep him out for a number of weeks but he will be continually assessed during his rehabilitation. The club’s medical team are liaising with their counterparts at Chelsea to monitor his progress.
Remy, 29, joined Palace on a season long loan from Chelsea at the end of the summer transfer window.
Manager Alan Pardew said: “It is obviously a blow for the player and for us as a squad, he has just joined us and we were hoping he would play a big part in the team moving forward. He was looking great in training and this was an innocuous injury which can sometimes happen unfortunately”.
