Team News: Zaha Returns To Face Boro

10 September 2016

Wilfried Zaha returns to the Crystal Palace line-up this afternoon for today’s game against Middlesbrough as one of three alterations to the Eagles side that drew 1-1 with Bournemouth before the international break.

The winger replaces Connor Wickham, while Yohan Cabaye, who missed France’s games over the past fortnight, misses out through injury and his spot in the centre of midfield is filled by Joe Ledley.

Pape Souare also has a knock and has been ruled out, with Martin Kelly handed a start at left-back. Meanwhile recent signings Jonathan Benteke and Mathieu Flamini are named on the bench.

Middlesbrough meanwhile have made three changes to their side that drew 0-0 with West Bromwich Albion last time out, with Victor Valdes returning from injury to displace Brad Guzan.

George Friend and Viktor Fischer meanwhile also come into the line-up, with Callum Chambers included on the bench.

Middlesbrough: Valdes, Friend, Ayala, Gibson, Barragan, Forshaw, Clayton, Stuani, Fischer, Downing, Negredo. Subs: Guzan, Nsue, Chambers, De Roon, Traore, Ramirez, Rhodes.

Palace: Mandanda, Ward, Dann, Delaney, Kelly, McArthur, Ledley, Townsend, Puncheon, Zaha, C. Benteke. Subs: Hennessey, Tomkins, Fryers, Flamini, Dreher, Lee, J. Benteke.
