Big Sam: I Can See It Going Down To The Wire

The club go into their final eight fixtures three points above the bottom three and the remaining games will see them come up against five of the current top six.

A list of fixtures that will provide Palace with the toughest run in up against their opposition at the wrong end of the table. Even with this schedule many of the bookmakers odds are not listing Palace as favourites for the drop but Sam Allardyce can see how they come to that conclusion.

in terms of performance.potential"Maybe its based on past experience I have had of saving teams in this division and also it could be the quality of players we have seen in recent weeks as they have hit more like their

"It is certainly a tough run in though and I can see it going right to the wire, in the end it will be about who can hold their nerve and that is the big key to success when the pressure is on you at this level. When the bell starts ringing you know the time is running out and you have got to be very brave and stand up and be counted in those situations if you want to survive and be in the Premier League next year."

From joining the club in December Allardyce has always said the side have a challenge on their hands to retain their place in the Premier League but does feel that they have given themselves a great opportunity to avoid the drop.

"Of late we have eased the pressure because we won four on the trot but we have still a long, long way to go to getting ourselves safe although we have given ourselves an excellent chance of avoiding relegation. "It’s not an argument that we have got the hardest run in but we are in good form at the moment and hopefully that will continue, more importantly the results will come with it."
