Sam Allardyce has confirmed that Patrick van Aanholt has recovered from injury and has returned to first team training ahead of the game against Leicester City.
The left-back had been out of action since the win away to West Bromwich Albion in March with an ankle problem, but has now returned to full fitness, which will be a boost for the Eagles going into the final run of games.
"Patrick van Aanholt's been back in training and he'll join up with us," said the manager. "That's about it from our injured players recovering.
Loic Remy's nearly there, he's nearly back in full training. So we're still waiting for James Tomkins and Scott Dann is looking pretty long-term now."
Van Aanholt, 26, was playing well before his setback, helping to shore up the backline and even getting off the mark with a goal in the 1-0 victory at home to Middlesbrough, so his return is a very welcome one for Big Sam.
