Frank de Boer has been pleased with the response from his squad in training over the past week after the disappointment of Saturday's 3-0 reverse and has been keen on getting the player's focus on the task in hand against Liverpool this weekend.
"We did the usual thorough post-match analysis on the Huddersfield game and training has been really sharp this week and hopefully the negative influences of a 3-0 defeat have gone away. We now face Liverpool in what will be a very difficult game but we will try our best to get the best result possible and of course over the last three seasons this club have had very positive results there."
The Reds have had an additional match with a midweek Champions League win against Hoffenheim but de Boer doesn't think the extra game will have a negative impact on Jurgen Klopp's preparation.
"Liverpool have fantastic players and they are able to deal with three games in eight days. They started last week with one point and now go into this game and will be looking to get three points at Anfield. It will be a very strong team we are going to face and they are very dangerous in attack. Klopp has selected the players to capitalise on winning the ball in key areas."
