CPFC Join Forces With Oliver King Foundation

9 February 2017

Since its creation in 2012, The Oliver King Foundation has placed over 1000 defibrillators to schools and sports facilities. Every single week in the UK 12 young people under the age of 35 die from Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome, a hidden heart condition that can strike the most fit and healthiest people. By installing defibrillators in schools, sports centres and other public places, we can save many of these lives. The foundation is delighted to join forces with Crystal Palace Football Club as part of it defibrillator campaign. The club is the first Premier League club to liaise with our foundation, and our founder, Mark King was on hand at their training ground yesterday to offer life-saving CPR and AED training to the coaching and support staff.

“I am delighted that Crystal Palace Football Club have chosen to have two defibrillators installed at their training ground. It was a pleasure to help to deliver the training on behalf of The Oliver King Foundation, and to catch up with the club’s head of sports medicine, Zafar Iqbal, who has been a long-term supporter of our charity.” Mark King from the Oliver King Foundation told the following his visit to the Beckenham Training Ground.

Today, 9th February, marks the five year anniversary of the foundation.
