Congratulations to under-18s midfielder Andrew Demby, who has been named the EA Sports Academy Player of the Month for January.
The tough-tackler has forced his way into the starting eleven and held down a place after a tough start to 2016-17, something which has impressed Gary Issott.
"I think Andrew's done very well this season," he told Palace TV. "He broke into the team late because he was injured in pre-season and then struggled to get in the team. Since November he's been in the team and in January he did very, very well. He's an important part of the team.
"He's the type of player who likes doing the dirty side of the game. He likes sitting in front of the back four, intercept, track runners, pick up second balls and then give it to players who can go and hurt the opposition. He's got a terrific work ethic and outstanding athleticism - he fully deserves the award through his hard work and endeavour."
Demby agreed. When asked what the key to his performances last month was, he said: "Consistency. I was a consistent performer in games and I've been working hard.
"I like to win the ball. I like to win tackles, second balls. I like to be like Kante - all over the place - that type of player."
