Allardyce: Attitude Needs To Be Right

7 January 2017

Sam Allardyce returns to his former club, Bolton Wanderers. this afternoon to meet the League One side and looks back on his sixteen years at the club with fond memories.

"My time at Bolton was fantastic. I didn't want to go. It's a fantastic stadium with fantastic fans, but I want to disappoint them. I want my team to win."

Speaking ahead of the trip to the north-west he has made sure his squad are aware of the task they come against.

"I have warned the players that Bolton could upset us if their attitude is not right,

"These players need to show what they can do for the club, for their future. It will be a good thing for players who don't play regularly in the first team but will play in the cup. I don't see many managers playing the same teams they played over Christmas. Teams at the top of the Championship even change their teams. They'll make six or seven changes. Our priority is staying there and theirs is getting there."

"Phil Parkinson’s team will play their best game of the season against us and we need to be ready for that."
