Boateng Swaps Rovers For Cobblers

1 January 2017

Crystal Palace midfielder Hiram Boateng has joined Northampton Town on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old spent the first half of the season on loan at Bristol Roves but has seen that initial four-month move expire, and moves straight to the Cobblers who currently sit 16th in League One.

The Palace academy graduate, who has played three times for the Eagles' first-team since making his debut against Stoke City in January 2013, has also spent time at Crawley Town and Plymouth Argyle on loan and played 12 times for the Pirates.

Rovers manager Darrell Clarke said: ''Hiram worked very hard for the team whilst he was here and he returns to Palace with our thanks and best wishes for the future.''
