Dann And McArthur Rested

16 January 2017

Sam Allardyce has revealed that Scott Dann and James McArthur will likely miss Palace's Emirates FA Cup replay against Bolton Wanderers through fitness worries.

Asked during his pre-match press duties to give an update on the Eagles' lengthy list of absentees, Allardyce said: "Well not overly serious, but Scott Dann's going to be rested because he's still feeling something, McArthur's got a feel back for his injury so he'll go for a scan today.

"Mutch has not made it, Campbell's got a hamstring [injury], Connor Wickham's long-term, Souare is obviously long-term and Mandanda is recovering from an operation, so that's the seven," he added.

"Then Bakary Sako and Wilfried Zaha are at the Africa Cup of Nations, so it's a large amount of players that you want available as quickly as possible. The emphasis for me and the medical staff is to make sure these players get fit as quickly as possible."
