Bakary Sako spoke of his frustration after Palace's 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Swansea, before adding that he hopes to now be free on the injury demons which have plagued him lately.
"We're all frustrated about that loss because we did well to come back into the game and Wilf's scored a stunning goal, but we didn't capitalise on that to get the result," he said at full time.
The Mali international came off the bench to inject a fresh impetus into the Eagles' attack, getting himself on the ball and looking sharp going forward. After the game he said that he was hopeful of a better 2017 than he had had 2016, and highlighted the upcoming AFCON as a charge for him to get minutes under his belt.
"I hope 2017 will be a better year for me because I've been struggling a lot with injuries, so I hope all of that is behind me and I can look forward to the future," he said.
"It's going to be good for me to get some game time, so when I come back I'll be fit and ready to crack on."
