Having brought Frank de Boer into the club, Crystal Palace have acquired a Dutch legend who has enjoyed a glittering career as a player and manager.
During his 18-year playing career, De Boer lifted five league titles, a Champions League and a UEFA Cup with Ajax, as well as a La Liga title with Barcelona. He also claimed 112 caps for his country and featured in two World Cups and three European Championships. He also played for Galatasaray and Rangers before finishing his career in Qatar.
In 2007, De Boer took up a coaching role at his former club Ajax where he was in charge of their youth sector. During the 2010 World Cup, he was the assistant of the Netherlands side, beaten finalists as they lost out to Spain. Following that he was promoted to be Ajax's first-team manager, and became the first boss in history to win four Eredivisie titles in succession.
In 2016, De Boer left Ajax but later that year joined Inter Milan where he managed for three months, and then returned to football with the Eagles ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.
