Perry Suckling Confirmed For 'Play At Palace'

16 May 2017

The latest ex-Palace player to confirm his attendance at the end of season 'Play At Palace' event at Selhurst Park Stadium is the club’s former goalkeeper, Perry Suckling.

Palace for Life Foundation, in partnership with Crystal Palace F.C., are giving you the chance to take your place on the hallowed turf on Saturday 27th May 2017 at 2.00pm.

Not only will you be playing for Palace heroes, but you’ll also be playing alongside and against former players, Simon Osborn, Bobby Bowry and Fitz Hall.

Each auction still available is for a position in Julian's team and bidding starts at £100 for each position, and if a bid surpasses £200, the winning bidder can have their names printed on the back of their shirts and keep the whole kit afterwards.

Successful bids will enjoy the full player experience – entering through the ‘players only’ gate, having their personal kit laid out for them in the changing rooms, enjoy team talks and tactics from their managers and then making the walk to the pitch that only a player has known.  Each winning bidder will then play an unforgettable half for their team in front of a Holmesdale crowd, and support the other half from the dugout.

Bidding for the fourth and final team closes at 21.59 on Wednesday evening. (17/5/17)

Perry Suckling will be playing in goal for the second half of the team managed by Julian Speroni and there is still an opportunity to bid to play in the following positions during that period of the game:-

Centre Back, Centre Midfield, Left Wing and Forward.

Eddie McGoldrick, former player and Palace for Life Foundation Academy Head Coach, has been appointed manager of one of the teams and all the places on his team have now sold out raising over £4,000 for the Palace for Life Foundation.

After the match, both squads can enjoy a drink together and watch the FA Cup on the big screen at the annual Crystal Palace Beer Festival, for which all players will receive free entry.

Proceeds will go to the Palace for Life Foundation, the official charity of Crystal Palace Football Club, who are dedicated to helping young South Londoners grow through the power of sport.

In addition to the auction spots, there will be lots of other ways to get involved, including a competition to win a VIP matchday experience for two at a home game in the 17/18 season and 2017/18 shirt signed by the squad.  But if you’d just like to contribute to a truly great cause and support the south London community, you can simply donate any amount in exchange for a Palace for Life pin badge.
