Fosu-Mensah & Chung yong-Lee In Action

11 October 2017

We continue our round up of players away on international duty as the break comes to a close.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah was named in the starting eleven for the Netherlands Under 21 match against Ukraine as the two sides shared the points in a 1-1 draw.

The visitors had to come from behind after Viktor Kovalenko gave Ukraine the lead from the penalty spot but scores were back on level terms on the hour mark.

Winger Justin Kluivert scored his first goal at this level and it was a point that Netherlands had to settle for as they now have five points from their first four qualifying matches for the 2019 U21 European Championships.

Fosu-Mensah completed the full 90 minutes whilst Jairo Riedewald was an unused substitute.

Chung-yong Lee was in the South Korea side that went down 3-1 in a friendly against Morocco.

The match played in Biel, Switzerland saw Oussama Tannane give an advantage to Morocco with two goals before Ismail El Haddad increased the lead early in the second half. Son Heung-min converted a penalty to give South Korea a consolation goal in a disappointing defeat.
