Ladies Report: Crystal Palace 3-0 Lewes

12 October 2017

Palace Ladies got back to winning ways with a convincing home victory against Lewes on Wednesday evening at Bromley FC.

Gemma Bryan added to her season’s tally with two more goals and the other came from Ellie Bailes.

The opening goal came after 12 minutes as Bryan cut in from the left and finished the move from a tight angle to give the home side a deserved lead.

Eleven minutes into the second half saw a free kick from Bailes being picked up by Bryan, who made no mistake with a powerful shot giving the Lewes goalkeeper no chance as the home sides advantage reflected their dominance in the game.

The victory was complete on 74 minutes with  Bryan involved again, her effort coming back off the crossbar for Bailes to have the chance to put the ball into the net from close range.

The two sides meet again in cup action on Sunday at Bromley, kick-off 2.00pm.
