Dick Advocaat has named Timothy Fosu-Mensah in the provisional Netherlands squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers with Belarus and Sweden.
Fosu-Mensah made his international debut against France at the beginning of this month and if named in Advocaat’s final squad he will be in contention for a place in two crucial final group games.
On the 7th October Netherlands travel to Belarus before playing hosts to Sweden in their final World Cup qualifier three days later. They need to win both games and hope they better Sweden’s goal difference to have any chance of getting a play-off spot.
Jairo Riedewald has been named in the Under 21 provisional squad by Art Langeler for the upcoming Netherlands European Championship games against Latvia and Ukraine.
The confirmed squads will be named at the end of this week.
