Jeffrey Schlupp was one of four changes to the starting eleven for Ghana as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Congo on Friday evening in their World Cup qualifier.
The home side had to come from behind for a share of the points after Congo went ahead on 18 minutes through Bifouma Thievy.
Ghana overcame the frustration of missed chances by getting back on level terms with just seven minutes remaining. Christian Atsu got the better of his marker and found Thomas Partey, who made no mistake as he fired home the equaliser.
Despite getting the better of the latter stages of the game Ghana had to settle for a point and head for the return game on Tuesday, sitting in third place and five points behind group leaders, Uganda, with three matches remaining.
