Manchester City lead the Premier League table going into this weekend having only conceded two goals and been free scoring, with 16 goals to their name.
The task against a side going into the game unbeaten this season is clear for all to see but when asked what plan you have against team in that form, Roy Hodgson was keen to emphasise that he goes into the match in confident mood after seeing how the lads have prepared for the job ahead.
“All you can do is make certain you keep working on your game, working on the defensive side, in particular if we're talking about stopping them scoring, making certain we're doing the things we need to do and want to do well. If it turns out they have a bit too much firepower even doing the things we want to do they can still score goals, we, like the rest of the teams they have been beating, will probably have to accept that.
“But at the moment we are going there in a reasonably confident mood. The players know their jobs and will be working hard to perform those roles and we'll see how far that takes us. But even though I’m being bombarded with statistics with how wonderful they are, it doesn't faze me at all because I think that the players know what they have got to do and will try very hard to do it and we'll see where it leads us.”
