Following their impressive start to the 2018/19 season, the Fantasy Premier League Scout has focused on Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Jeffrey Schlupp ahead of the upcoming game against Liverpool.
Crystal Palace supplied two players to the Gameweek 1 Dream Team in Fantasy Premier League.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£4.1m) and Jeffrey Schlupp (£4.5m) were the Eagles’ big performers with 12 and 11 points respectively in the 2-0 win over Fulham.
Right-back Wan-Bissaka produced an action packed performance at Craven Cottage, supplying the assist for Wilfried Zaha’s (£7.0m) goal and also excelled defensively in the Bonus Points System.
Wan-Bissaka’s totals of two successful tackles, along with 11 clearances, blocks and interceptions, were both ranked second among teammates, and combined with his assist and clean sheet helped him claim the maximum three bonus points.
FPL managers have wasted no time in reacting. The youngster is the most bought defender in the game, earning over 208,000 transfers-in ahead of Saturday’s 11.30 BST deadline and is now owned by 19.6% of squads, second only to Kieran Tripper’s (£6.0m) 23.4% for FPL defenders.
Schlupp’s classification as a defender in FPL means that he was also awarded points for the clean sheet, and a role on the wing makes him an enticing prospect.
Playing on the left flank in Roy Hodgson’s 4-4-2 formation, the Ghanain international opened the scoring against the Cottagers, yet the clamour to acquire the cheaper Wan-Bissaka means that Schlupp remains overlooked.
Just 1.9% of managers own him ahead of Monday evening’s match with Liverpool, and Palace’s schedule from Gameweek 3 onwards suggests he could be a major differential.
All seven of their matches between Gameweek 3-9 score no more than three in the Fixture Difficulty Ranking.
