This afternoon, Crystal Palace Under-23s took on Bristol City in their first game since a 4-0 hammering of local rivals Charlton Athletic, and drew the game 1-1 thanks to a scintillating moment of magic from Connor Wickham.
A Nya Kirby corner saw Connor Wickham pull out of the six-yard box before leaping into the air and performing a text-book scissor kick into the bottom corner.

Wickham was sent-off for two yellow cards shortly after, as Richard Shaw's side laid siege to the Bristol goal. The draw means they have only lost once from their past six games, so the side remains in third place in the Professional Development League South.
Roy Hodgson and his coaching staff watched the match, keen to assess options including Joel Ward, Scott Dann and Wickham, in light of the suspensions facing James Tomkins and Wilfried Zaha for Saturday's match agains Leicester City.
