Palace boss Roy Hodgson has made three changes for this evening’s visit to St Mary’s as the Eagles take to the field for the fourth time in 11 days.
Having seen his team put in a tremendous shift to earn a point against league leaders Manchester City just over 48 hours ago, Hodgson has freshened things up and brought Jeffrey Schlupp back in at left-back ahead of Patrick van Aanholt, with Martin Kelly taking the place of injury victim Scott Dann.
Meanwhile in midfield, James McArthur is fit again after missing the City match and replaces Jairo Riedewald, who drops to the bench.
Mauricio Pellegrini meanwhile has made two changes to the Southampton side that also gained a goalless draw against Manchester United last time out, with both coming in defence. Ryan Bertrand has recovered in time from a hamstring injury and replaces Sam McQueen, while Jeremy Pied comes in for Wesley Hoedt.
Ex-Eagle Alex McCarthy maintains his place in the team after he was preferred to Fraser Forster at Old Trafford and kept a clean sheet.
