Roy Hodgson has named a strong Palace XI side to face Stevenage this evening at the Lamex Stadium, with summer signing Vicente Guaita making his third appearance of pre-season.
The Spanish stopper will take his place in the sticks tonight in Hertfordshire, and is one of only two players in the Eagles side that has yet to make their full debut for the club – the other being development centre-back Sam Woods.
Having netted twice in pre-season so far, Sullay Kaikai gets the nod to start up front alongside Alexander Sørloth, while Jonny Williams and Jason Puncheon gets their first starts of the summer. After firing Richard Shaw’s under-23 side to the title last season, both Levi Lumeka and Jason Lokilo get a chance to impress in the first-team, while a number of that team make up the bench.
Stevenage include seven summer signings in their line-up, including striker Alex Reid who signed from Fleetwood Town last week, as Dino Maamria’s team look to make it five pre-season wins out of five at the Eagles’ expense.
