Palace midfielder Chung-yong Lee has been cut from South Korea's final squad for the 2018 World Cup.
The winger will miss out on the opportunity to appear in a third straight World Cup after national team coach Shin Tae-yong trimmed his 27-man squad down to the allowed 23 for the finals in Russia.
Lee was the highest profile casualty, having picked up a hip injury in their first warm-up game against Honduras last week, denying him the opportunity to impress during Korea's 3-1 defeat to Bosnia and Herzegovina last Friday.
The 29-year-old, who has previously won 79 caps for his country, previously represented his nation at the 2010 and 2014 finals.
