Successive Wins For Sørloth's Norway

7 June 2018

Alexander Sørloth's international break got even better as he helped Norway beat Panama 1-0 in Oslo on Wednesday night.

Having come off the bench to score the winner against Iceland last week, the Palace striker once again made a substitute appearance as Norway claimed back-to-back victories at the expense of England's World Cup opponents, on what was the occasion of his 14th cap.

Sørloth replaced Bjorn Johnsen on the hour mark after Joshua King had put Lars Lagerbeck's team ahead after just four minutes, and the Eagles attacker once again showed plenty of promise up front as he carved out a couple of opportunities for his team to double their lead, which ultimately they didn't need.

Panama head to the tournament in poor form, having scored just once in their last five internationals in 2018, having finished their successful qualifying campaign with a negative goal difference.
