Red Card Disappointment For Wan-Bissaka

23 March 2018

Just under 14,000 watched Aaron Wan-Bissaka win his first England cap at Under 20 level on Thursday as the visitors came away with a 1-0 victory but the Palace defender’s night ended in disappointment as he was sent off following two yellow cards.

Keith Downing’s side gained the victory with just three minutes remaining when Keinan Davis came off the bench to be the only goal scorer on the night.

Palace’s 20 year-old right back can consider himself unfortunate to have received his first yellow card when he was cautioned for an accidental trip just after the break but after suffering a second card he had to leave the action with 15 minutes remaining.

The Young Lions now go on to face Portugal at Manchester City’s Academy Stadium in the final game of their international week.
