When Palace's Internationals Are In Action

20 March 2018

Nine Eagles have been selected for their countries during the current international break, as nations around the globe prepare for the upcoming World Cup or begin the rebuilding job after missing out on this summer’s tournament.

A number of friendly games are taking place across the next two weeks, with the highlights from a Palace perspective including Patrick van Aanholt and Timothy Fosu-Mensah potentially playing against England in Amsterdam, while Wayne Hennessey is travelling to the Far East as Wales participate in the China Cup in their first games under Ryan Giggs.

Pape Souare has received his first call-up for Senegal since his horrific car accident in September 2016 as he pushes to join Luka Milivojevic at the World Cup, while at under-20 level, Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been selected for England for the first time and could win his first caps for the Three Lions.

The only competitive action comes for under-18 midfielder Will Donkin, who has been called up for Chinese Taipei's squad for an AFC Asian Cup qualifier with Singapore, however both teams have already been eliminated.
