Van Aanholt Gets Dutch Call-Up

24 May 2018

On the back of his excellent end of season performances, Patrick van Aanholt has been included in the Holland squad for their upcoming friendlies against Slovakia and Italy.

The full-back scored in each of the final three games of the season to finish the campaign with five goals to his name in 32 Eagles appearances, and has been selected in Ronald Koeman's squad as he builds for the future after his nation failed to reach a second successive major finals.

The Dutch take on Slovakia on Thursday 31st May in Trnava before going up against Italy, who also missed out on this summer's World Cup, with that game being played in Turin on Monday 4th June.

Van Aanholt will be looking to impress Koeman, having won his seventh cap against England back in March in what was the former Everton manager's first game in charge of the national side.
