Nya Kirby has been selected for England under-19s duty during the upcoming international break, as the Young Lions face Portugal and Macedonia in friendly action.
In preparation for their European Championship qualifiers against Turkey, Moldova and Iceland next month, Keith Downing’s team face the Portuguese in Almada on Thursday 11 October, before returning home for a match with Macedonia at St George’s Park on Tuesday 16 October.
The call-up continues a good week for the 18-year-old Kirby, who extended his stay with the Eagles after penning a new contract until 2022 on Wednesday, and now he will get the chance to add to his four under-19 caps.
Kirby has also won caps at under-18 and under-17 levels, and won the U17 World Cup with the Three Lions last year.
