After a three-week break, the Palace Programme is back in time for the visit of Newcastle United, with its summer relaunch continuing to be well-received by the Eagles support.
The new A5 size has proven popular, allowing fans to easily dip in and out of the 88-page pocket-sized publication which this week features an in-depth interview with James McArthur, who pledged his future to the club this week by signing a contract extension.
In a wide-ranging feature, the Scotsman talks about being one of the most underrated players in the Premier League, his development as an attacking force and his joy at remaining at the club until 2021, describing it as "the most enjoyable period of my career".
This season, the programme will also celebrate the 30th, 40th and 50th anniversaries of the Eagles’ famous promotion campaigns in our special ‘Glory Days’ section. This will include a detailed story of each season, reproduced match reports interviews with key players from those eras, and this week legendary defender Mel Blyth has his say on the 1968/69 campaign.
Newer features such as "100 Years of the Palace Programme", "Gettin' Shirty" and "In Focus" also continue with academy midfielder Brandon Aveiro featuring in the latter, while Roy Hodgson, Luka Milivojevic and Steve Parish have their say on recent matters.
There is also plenty for Newcastle fans to get stuck into, including a look back at the historic clash between the teams from 1907 when non-league Palace stunned the Geordies at St James' Park in one of the FA Cup's biggest-ever upsets.
