Christian Benteke wins Man of the Match for Arsenal display

24 April 2019

Christian Benteke has been voted by Palace fans as Man of the Match for his recent performance in the Eagles' 3-2 over Arsenal.

The Belgian forward helped Palace to victory on Sunday afternoon with the clash's opening goal, a powerful header after a well-placed Luka Milivojevic cross.

After the game, he said: "I'm really happy and really pleased to get back on the scoresheet. It's been a tough, tough year for me with injury and then coming back and just waiting my turn. I'm really happy today."

Benteke earned the Man of the Match accolade with 46% of votes, beating fellow goalscorer Wilfried Zaha and shot-stopper Vicente Guaita to the award.
