Lucas Perri has today become the first player to put pen to paper for Palace this January transfer window.
Signing from São Paulo on loan until the end of the season, it's been a busy time without even donning a glove for the Brazilian shot-stopper.
But everything started a long while back.
"Two months ago," he explained, "I knew [about] the possibility to join Palace. Since then, I was pretty anxious to be here because I really wanted that. It's huge, it's a really important thing to me. It's the opportunity of my life."
Bringing things up to this week, however, Perri first stepped foot in London on Monday.
Flying in from Italy before spending the remainder of his day settling down and acclimatising to the capital, Perri is temporarily staying in a central London hotel.
Having landed, the next day he headed south to Palace's Beckenham training ground where he underwent a thorough medical, not leaving until 9pm - long after the rest of the squad and Palace staff had headed home. The medical then continued the following morning, with Perri completing it early yesterday whilst the paperwork for his contract was being finalised.
At the training ground, the 21-year-old met with manager Roy Hodgson and met his new Palace teammates whilst getting a feel for his new surroundings. He paid visits to the gym, physio and changing rooms, training pitches and media centre.
Following that, having finished his informal tour, Perri then linked up with the Palace TV team, heading to the club canteen where he spoke in-depth about his career so far, learning English, growing up in Sao Paulo and more. You can watch what he had to say here.
Sticking with the media team, Perri then headed to the training ground's new media centre where his pictures were taken and the team behind the scenes put together all that was needed to announce his move to SE25.
Having finished his duties with the media, Perri then left Beckenham to join Danny Young - Palace's Player Liason Officer - to check out flats in and around south London where the Brazilian might settle during his time with the Eagles.
With the paperwork now complete, Perri will begin training tomorrow ahead of the Eagles hosting Tottenham Hotspur in the Emirates FA Cup on Sunday, which you can buy tickets for here.
