Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has spoken on his side's match tomorrow against Watford, assessing both the day's opposition and Palace's ambitions for the season.
Firstly, he looked at his own squad, delivering a statement of intent as the season tips over into its second half.
He said, "We believe a top 10 finish is a distinct possibility, at least it’s got to be a goal for us. We know that every time we play against a team that is certainly not one of the ones that no one gives us any chance of beating, at home we need to take full advantage of that and win the game.
"The pressure is there, it always will be, but the players I think are capable of assuming that responsibility."
And then the manager turned his attention to this week's opposition, insisting that they are a talented side who will be prepared to bring a strong game to Selhurst.
"I think they’re a very good football team," he remarked. "I think they’ve got some very good players, I think that they work very hard. They show the correct amount of aggression when they lose the ball to try and win it back just as we try to show the right amount of aggression when we need to win the ball back. So I don’t go along if you like with the theory that tomorrow all of a sudden we’re playing an intimidating team.
"All you can do as a football manager, all Javi Gracia can do as a football manager, is to prepare his team as I have to prepare mine to play a good game of football and a correct game of football."
