Michy Batshuayi has continued a fantastic run with the Belgium international side by scoring the Red Devils' second goal in a 2-0 win over Cyprus.
The Palace forward had previously assisted Chelsea's Eden Hazard in a victory over Russia as well as striking the post and seeing an effort cleared off the line. Yesterday, however, he finally earned his goal by skipping around shot-stopper Urko Pardo to bury the ball well.
The evening also saw Christian Benteke make the bench while elsewhere Wayne Hennessey kept a clean-sheet in Wales' 1-0 win over Slovakia.
The day before, Ghana defeated Kenya 1-0 with Jordan Ayew playing until the 86th minute, when he was substituted a minute before his brother Andre for Ernest Asante and Chiekhou Kouyate remained on the bench when Senegal beat Madagascar 2-0 in an Afcon qualifier. Patrick van Aanholt also watched from the side as Holland fell to a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Germany.
The next round of fixtures left to play for Palace players on international duty is as follows:
Ghana – Jeffrey Schlupp and Jordan Ayew
26th March v Rwanda
Senegal – Cheikhou Kouyate
26th March v Mali - 11.00
Ivory Coast – Wilfried Zaha (injury dependant)
26th March v Liberia
