The format of the Premier League Cup begins with eight groups of four being randomly drawn, with the top two from each of those groups qualifying for the knockout rounds.
The Eagles have been drawn in Group G alongside Premier League 2 sides Blackburn Rovers and Middlesbrough, with fellow Professional Development League side Burnley the final opponent - having been pitted against Burnley it means that the Eagles will play the Clarets a minimum of three times this season, with Richard Shaw’s side closing out their league campaign away to Burnley (1pm, 27thApril).
