James McCarthy gives his first full written interview as a Palace player in this clash's edition, and you can read a snippet of his chat below.
When football transitioned seriously from the local pitches and terraces to a career path and professional sport, McCarthy was faced with a seminal life choice: which country to pledge his international allegiance.
The youngest player in the 21st Century to represent Hamilton Academical, McCarthy was eligible to represent his grandfather’s Ireland or his own native Scotland.
But after Scotland overlooked his ability and Ireland handed him regular chances at varying youth levels, McCarthy was sold. Ireland it was.
“We watched Ireland,” he reflects. “We watched the odd Scotland game but we watched Ireland. My grandad was Irish so I always watched the games and our family had Ireland tops.
“Scotland came to watch me, didn’t pick me a good few times and then Ireland came over, watched me once and put me in the squad.
“Scotland came back and said: ‘We want you to come.’ At the time, I was happy with my choice and Scotland had the chance when I was younger. I’m happy with the way it’s gone with Ireland, with the Euros.”
Another interview comes from Development goalkeeper, Dion-Curtis Henry, who discusses being hit by a fan's coin and making the bench in one of the club's most iconic ever games.
There are also columns from Roy Hodgson, Luka Milivojevic, Steve Parish, Richard Shaw, Lucy Gillett, Dominic Fifield and Chris Grierson as well as all the stats, tactics and eye-catching imagery you'll want to see before the Eagles take on the Citizens.
All this, plus a throwback to 1976, Stephen Browett's guide to Chelsea away and something for the kids can be bought in digital format here or in person around the stadium.
