Jaroslaw Jach became the Eagles' second capture of the 2018 January transfer window when he switched from Zagłębie Lubin, penning a three-and-a-half year contract.

The 24-year-old centre-back has two caps at international level having made his full debut in 2017, and spent the 2018/19 campaign on loan at Turkish side Çaykur Rizespor, whom he signed for in July 2018.

Jach’s career started at Polish fourth-tier side Lechia Dzierżoniów in 2011 where he spent a couple of seasons before stepping up to the top-flight with Zagłębie. After they suffered relegation in his first season, he helped them return to the Ekstraklasa at the first attempt, and went on to play 78 times for the team known as the Coppers.

Before moving to Palace, he had made 20 appearances in all competitions for Lubin in 2017/18, scoring once, and his performances caught the attention of Poland boss Adam Nawałka, who handed Jach his first senior international caps in November 2017 in friendlies against Uruguay and Mexico.

He joined Raków Częstochowa on loan in 2019/20 and, after making his Palace debut v AFC Bournemouth in September 2020, spent the first half of 2020/21 with Eredivisie side, Fortuna Sittard.

He returned to Raków Częstochowa on loan in January 2021.
