Mutch joined Palace from Queens Park Rangers in January 2015 and would go on to feature regularly for the Eagles over the next 18 months.
The midfielder began his career with Birmingham City where he came through their youth system and became the second youngest player in their history when he made his debut aged 16 in a League Cup tie with Southampton in 2008.
After loan spells at Hereford United, Doncaster Rovers and Watford he made his league bow for the Blues in a Premier League game against Manchester United in 2010, and following their relegation at the end of that campaign he became a regular in the side that reached the Championship play-offs the following season.
In the summer of 2012 he joined Cardiff City and helped the club reach the Premier League for the first time in their history as they lifted the Championship title in his first year. He impressed in the top-flight, and would end his Cardiff career with 60 appearances and seven goals.
The former England under-21 international arrived at Loftus Road at the start of the 2014/15 campaign but by the following January he had switched to the Eagles. He turned out 25 times for the club in his first full season in SE25, but with opportunities limited he joined Reading on loan for the second half of the 2016/17 season.
